Why do dogs lose their shite at a vacuum?

I swear my neighbors dog loses his shite everytime they vacuum. It sounds like a baby being strangled.

He told me everytime it happens it goes to the corner in the kitchen and shits the floor.

My dog used to do something similar but hide everytime. I never could get him to break the habit.

Ours doesnt hide.. He mounts various attacks depending on what part of the house his sworn enemy is invading.

Well duh.

It's an unusual noise, a loud noise with parts of it we can't hear.

Some react by avoiding it, some react by attacking it. It's what dogs do.

My boxer used to do freak out and attack the push mower. I had to make him go in the house because I was afraid I would cut him up. He was a house dog anyway but he liked to follow me everywhere I went. I miss him so much RIP Boss

My dog lets the Neato run into him. Doesn't even pick up his head. He'll move when I get close with the regular vac, but he'll just go right back when I'm done that spot.

Maybe your neighbor's dog is a pussy

Get a Roomba or Neato.

My dog thinks there is a loud, evil intruder dog roaming around every time our Neato runs.

He jumps from furniture to furniture at 80 lbs. growling and barking. Its fricking hilarious.

I use to stay in the hall with the power cord and set up the vacuum between my son's dog and the bedroom door. When the dog made a move, I'd plug it in, lol. It was pretty awesome.

This.

Solid dog isn't worried about a vacuum. Or thunderstorms. Or much of anything that doesn't pose a real threat.

Maybe cause it's loud as shite. I act the same way when the wife vacuums when the game is on.

We got a Miele about a year ago. My dogs hardly pay attention to it because it's so quiet. Sometimes they get excited when we first roll it out and unwind the cord, but soon lose interest. That alone is worth the price of the thing.

I'm not sure if your dog is like my kids, but they started to freak out after I ran over their feet. That could be your problem too.

My dog isn't scared of the vacuum , he just tries to eat/bite the vacuum every time we use it. Pretty funny really. Glad my dogs not a bitch who shits himself over a vacuum! What the hell will a dog like that do when an intruder was to break in?
