Because they are discriminated against more than others?
If you are hiring and two candidates have equal abilities to do the job, both with equal people skills, are you gonna hire the wheelchair bound guy?

Wow, first response on the OT turns it into a race issue. That's novel.
Section 8 and food stamps are income based. In fact, more whites get it than others.

Their lives are exponentially more difficult.

If it really pisses you off that much, amputate an arm and a leg and start enjoying all those extra rights.

You know why the country is going down the shitter? Because mouth breathing morons like you outnumber normal people like 10:1. And now, thanks to the Internet, the mouth breathers get to spew their ignorance and it starts the domino effect of idiocy (see Facebook). Call me elitist, I don't care.

If you don't know what it's like for it to be excruciating to walk, that's great. But some people live their life in constant pain it's a blessing for them just to be able to use a handicap spot.
I'm disabled but dont want to pull the handicap trigger yet. Can still work, walk and function but I do have my bad days and bouts of continuous pain. Sucks that I have to limit job opportunities because of that and the big kicker is I know the day is coming when I wont be able to walk w/o assistance or exercise and will have to deal with daily pain.

I'd say being able to walk without difficulty and do any activities I wanted without being physically impaired from it a much better win than not having to wait in line for something. Be grateful for the blessings you do have and quit whining.

Make yourself disabled and then it wont be an issue.

Florida only grants handicap licences to people who can demonstrate that they have no method of pedestrian transport. People in wheelchairs and motorscooters are not allowed to get handicap licences.

Why not be thankful for your abilities?
I would not worry too much over what "rights" disabled people have.
I swear people are becoming less and less compassionate by the day.. and more self serving.
