Because they want everyone to know they have cool lights on their cars. They IV the koolaid.
Same reason why they walk around with clothes off of tactical websites, a high and tight, and a paracord watch band or bracelet.

It’s called “cruise lights” and it’s just to show there’s a cop there. It’s designed to be used a deterrent.
