Why do some cartoon characters add an R to some of their words, like Ruh-roh from Scooby?

Dad is from Oz and i give him hell for butchering the english language all the time lol.

But in all reality, thats what happens when you mix Irish, cockney and other dialects and move them across the world from the rest of the UK.

Why do cajuns say "baw" all the time?
