But your kids have the vaccine right? So you have nothing to worry about.

Wrong. That's what the big fuss is all about. I'm probably butchering this, but I think if less than 90% of the kids are vaccinated, it can still spread. Not to mention the kids carry the disease home to family members on medication that weakens their immune system.
There was a whole slew of issues that stem out from it, that I saw a doctor talking about on tv two weeks ago.
It's more dumb than smart to not get the vaccine.

This can be directly attributed to vaccines or they think vaccines caused them?
The thing is lots of developmental problems are first observable around the time vaccines are given so devastated parents blame the vaccine. It is actually really sad.

What about the infant who can't get the vaccine because they are a newborn. You have these idiots letting their unvaccinated kids out in public and diseases spread.
Let me put it this way, in 1960 you didn't hear about dumb fricks holding their kids back from Polio vaccinations.
Maybe Darwinism will play out and the spawn of these morons will not be able to polute the gene pool.

If the vaccines were so foolproof why can't newborns have them? Is there some magic transformation from day 364 to day 365 that all of the sudden makes injection safe?

It's clear you have no idea what you're talking about.

People like you cast doubt on the legitimacy of that whole theory anyway.

How many anti-vaccine people do you talk tomy first thought as well, legit question. I've never spoke to someone where this came up, much less multiple times as well as discussing conspiracy theories with the same people. Seems farfetched, or maybe the OP is just very outgoing
I know a few people who post about this stuff on facebook constantly and then all their anti vaccine friends reply.

Ok troll.
Let see some facts about why you shouldn't get your kid vaccinated.
I'll hang up and listen.
ETA- if you need to google what facts are, go ahead and do that now.

What happened to these two children you know personally?
I can pretty much say with certainty that you would know many, many kids that wouldn't be leading normal lives if it were not for vaccines.

Randysavage what do you think is more dangerous vaccinations or aspirin?
Posted on 2/14/15 at 2:41 pm to mouton
Excuses for everything.
Probably had nothing to do with the parents being in their 40's

RandySavage is a troll. Pay him no mind.
At least I hope he is a troll. For his family's sake.

I never said I was anti-vaccine. In fact I stated the opposite.
Do you know why they make children get two injections of MMR?

Vaccines are unnecessary for newborns because they inherit their mother's immunity. Breast milk also helps sustain their immunity.
And vaccines obviously aren't foolproof. There's just a risk/benefit calculation. The chances of a serious adverse reaction to the MMR vaccine are very low. The risks involved with exposure to measles are much higher. That's true for both the chances of adverse outcomes and the consequences of adverse outcomes.

I don't know the exact percentage required for herd immunity, but the principle is correct. One reason is vaccines don't "take" for everyone, so if you're one of those unlucky winners, you have to be protected by the fact that nobody around you has the ability to transmit the disease.
There are also people who can't be vaccinated for medical reasons--they have compromised immune systems or some other reason the vaccine is contraindicated.Anti-vaccine dullards are placing them at risk by intentionally leaving themselves open as vectors.

Tell me about it..those idiots should keep their unvaccinated babies at home and not take them out into public until they have been vaccinated! Would definitely help control the spread of these diseases!
