My thoughts as well. I'm guessing we will find out in a little bit that some plant was off grid for maintenance or something.

Sounds like it happened in a very short time frame. Not sure that makes it any better though

Yep power is back for us in Mandeville. If we're getting rolling blackouts in May, I hate to see what this summer is going to bring

I would guess this major inconvenience is the least of it all. Check back with y’all around October.

Think it was equipment failure. Something went down and power was not able to meet demand

Aka, shite infrastructure

Texas has no room to brag about power reliability. ERCOT still running the show there?

I know a higher up at Entergy and he told me it was a cyber attack. Didn’t want to say who they thought was behind it.

You questioning it, seems to be the larger issue.

This was my first thought actually. After I found out there were no balloon releases today.

An Entergy higher up wouldn't have a clue who hit them until a report was made by a third party.

Praise the Lord. Power back on in Belle Chasse, where my parents are.

Mom's having a colonoscopy in the morning and drank the colon blowout solution about an hour before the lights went out. No way she'd have made it all the way to our place, where we have power. She's now percolating with the lights on.
