Go to an AA meeting, you will see them used very frequently when they "pass the basket".

growing up, every time I visited my grandparents, we would arrive late and eat then go right to sleep. In the morning at the breakfast table there would be an envelope next to my sister and my plates filled with $2 bills, usually like $40 or so. My grandfather always gave them out to all the grandkids, so those $2 bills have special meaning to us now that he is gone. He was awesome.

My grandmother was a bank teller, and she would always bring home $2 bills whenever we would visit and give them to us in our birthday cards too. She is still alive and no longer works at the bank, but she still gets $2 bills for her great grandkids now. 89 years old, and she still cuts her own grass too

I use them all the time for tipping. I go to the bank once a month or so for a couple hundred worth.

Go to an AA meeting, you will see them in the basket quite often.

Fun fact I used a $50 at our local grocery a while back and the young cashier thought it was fake. Had to get an older employee over to verify it was real. Girl had never seen one.
