Come on man. Was it Jesus or Satan using conservatives to blow up people in Iraq? Mixing religion and politics is never a good idea.

The news media has nothing to do with it. America has been like this for decades.

The quote you referenced was said in the most divisive time in US history outside of the civil war.

People act like this is a new trend. Historically, the 60’s were much worse. There was a time when US citizens would spit in the face of veterans...and be cheered for it.

MSM Propaganda lives to divide us and push their agenda.

This is an example of why. Each side convinces their followers people who report on the other side are just a propaganda machine.

The truth is.. CNN, Fox, MSN.. Their goal is to boost ratings and they have decided to cater to one side.

Has anyone been watching "The Loudest Voice" on showtime? Either way, these cable news networks are about ratings. They take real events and create their own storylines.

If you listen to these channels on a regular basis. Listen to the talking heads, you quickly start to buy into what they are saying. When something happens, they all get different people who are "specialist" in this or that.. They go on and on..

When newsworthy events happen all of a sudden it floods us. The TV, social media, etc. Everyone has their opinions. People start bringing politics into because it is opportunities for these networks to spread their agenda.

If it wasn't about something bigger than just reporting on a news story and providing facts and updates, they would give an initial report, then every 30 mins (or 15.. it doesn't matter I just threw 30 mins out there) put out a short news update about the story.

But fear and emotion is what gets you to tune into their channels. It's what makes you leave it on for hours and they have to provide content.

And whatever side you are on, you are likely watching the network that fits your views and at some point they are going to tell you how bad the other side is...

You can also look at the number of people that attend Trump rally’s vs the number of people that attended Obama or any other Dem rally.

It’s not even close.

The Dems are getting left behind

You watch too much MSM and get too much Twitter.

We live in the least racist time in the history of or country.

Twitter is a cesspool and showcases the worst of humanity. It's just the vocal minority.

We'd be better off if Twitter went the way of the dodo

Conservatives by definition have not drastically changed, so that leaves one side continually separating us. I think you would find many conservatives willing to talk if the other side wasn't bat shite crazy and set on ending America as we have known it. Spouting off racist and white nationalist isn't a good way to stand up for your country or endear yourself to the other side.

Seems like a huge problem is the "we" that is buying into the propaganda that news media outlets are pushing since they are 90% in control.

So to respond to your first point, why is a certain segment of the population falling victim to the racist and white nationalist push by the media? and why do they continue to vote for the politicians pushing that and condemn the guy that's not a career politician that is trying to fix the decades of frickups from those politicians?

1. The last 20 years or so, the majority of Americans have treated politics like a football game. There has to be a winner and loser on everything. Most people have conservative and liberal views - I know that I do. However, most people suppress those views in order to be on the winning team.

2. If some find themselves on the losing team, they double down and move further from the middle. See Tea Party and Progressive movement. These movements move the line and normal becomes more polarized.

3. Americans started treating politicians like celebrities. DC is basically Hollywood for ugly people. We need to start treating politicians like what they are. Employees.

4. Social media has amplified radical views that would have normally been shutdown in normal settings. See transgenders taking over girls sports. That is a stupid idea. No doubt someone had it 20 years ago. But now, that person can jump on social media and find 1000 loners with the same idea and become more vocal. Rinse and repeat on every stupid idea.

5. And I know people won’t like this, but our moral compass has disappeared. I blame the church becoming entertainment centers instead of church. A teenager threw a 6 year old out a 10th story window today because the 6 year old was annoying him. How have we come to this?

Might be helpful for you to first understand what the word "unify" means.

I’d say bringing out voters in large numbers is unifying. Just because your side has decided to sit on the sideline and pout and your side is divided doesn’t mean the majority of the country isnt unified.

Using phrases like "your side" while talking about unity is just something else. I can't even.

The mainstream media will not allow our nation to come together and solve our problems. That will not give them the ratings those sickos want
