Trying to gauge the lightly used market and I can’t hardly find a regular cab, regular bed truck...like it to have 4x4 as well. To me, this is a truck:

What happened?

Because the market stopped buying them.

Because they can’t sell them.

Because truck owners run with a crew. So, you need a cab for them. And if that crew is super, well then...

Can’t fit the baws in the back to cruise down some dirt roads and hike your girl is in the front wearing cut offs headed down to the river to drink some beers on the tailgate.

CAFE standards give provisions to trucks with larger wheelbases. So the only regular cab trucks you see anymore have an 8' bed.

Also....people are using trucks to shuttle families around and not really to haul shite. So they don't build as many of those anyways.

If I can find a regular cab, it’s got one of those long beds on it. They’re almost all white...I guess those are the real work trucks.

Sit doesn't recline enough for me. My back would be killing me in an hour in that thing.

People are too fat to get in a regular cab.

I have a crew cab %90 of the time I'm either by myself or with one other person. I, like most Americans bought a Crew Cab truck for the 10% of the time we have more that 2 people.

It's my preferred truck model also but realistically, crew cabs make more sense for workers and families.

Look around you while driving

Over half the cars in the road only have 1 person in them

Pretty sure they all stopped making the short wheelbase regular cabs in the last year or two. You can still find them with the 8' bed, but not in the higher trim levels.

That's why I wanted a regular cab for my son. I ended up getting him an extended cab F150 that my Aunt was selling from my late Uncle because it was to good of a deal to pass up.
