No dude. It's because Boomers hoard wealth, refuse to retire, consistently vote for terrible social programs and political platforms, and have made the workforce a painful slog for the most part by being rigid and refusing to adapt to the times. Also, when Boomers were growing up they didn't have half the bills or technological costs that we do. Boomers didn't have cable bills, cell phone bills, out of control homeowners insurance, insane tuition and fees for education, etc... So they were able to invest and save that money and it came it handy later.

That generation is a bunch of whiney pussies. They walked into adult life with no bills and a plethora of jobs without needed education or experience and then set the market and fricked the next generation. And there are so goddamn many of them. And let's not forget that they raised this generation of millennial pussies. So they can share some of that blame too.

In the sense that he wrote the book on communism? Yeah, I know that. What's in the book? Nope, don't know that.

History major and never noticed a political slant?

I don't think I could write an essay for a teacher whose politics I couldn't figure out. Everything in history is influenced by political slant.

this is because boomers didnt plan for retirement properly so now they are forced to work and hoard all the jobs that they are mentally incapable of performing

The more I read, the more comical this survey becomes.

When asked what economic system is based on free markets and the rule of law with legal protections for private ownership, millennials answered:

51% Capitalism
27% I don't know
11% Socialism
6% Fascism
4% Communism

The take away from this survey is that many people are dumb, not that millennials are communists/socialists.

Also. A boomer could graduate high school, get a $4/hr job dvd that be enough to have a car and house. Now $20/hr is barely enough and that's more than double minimum wage.

Easy. They are taught that conflict is a bad thing.

Everyone should share.

American history classes don’t explain why capitalism is better or even what communism is. It makes socialism look amazing and builds FDR up as a god. Millenials are so woefully lied to in their history classes, left completely financially illiterate in their curriculum, and so destitute by the weak entry level jobs market and student loan debt that communism looks very very attractive

All by design.

Boomers hoard wealth and don't save enough, according to some here.

Not true, bur even if it was, the older generations taught millennials that. So again, boomers are the worst.

I love how many ad hominem and strawman arguments get tossed around in these threads towards both millenials and boomers

I'm a millenial, and I obviously know a lot of millenials.. and I honestly don't know many that fit the stereotype. There's always a small part of any population that is lazy and entitled. The biggest difference to me is that in our generation, even the lazy and entitled have a voice and a platform. Lazy/entitled boomers didn't have social media and online forums to gather and share ideas and be vocal about their ideas.

In today's society, the vocal minority has the opportunity to be VERY vocal for the same reason. Everyone has access to everything. It's an amazing time to live. It can also be incredibly frustrating. Everyone's ideas are in your face, good or bad.

Gen X has it worse than Boomers or Millennials.
