Yet people regularly give up biometrics and information on their phone, online, in stores?

I am not up in arms. I am a little pissed that I was not asked or offered this the last time I renewed my license. The perplexing thing is they keep saying their is a DEADLINE. What does this even mean? If I have no plans to fly or enter a federal building any time soon then can't I just go do this when I need to?

Why are people in Louisiana going to the DMV?
Just go to a Notary office (no line, no hassle). Got my Real ID last week. I’ve been going to a notary offices for the last 20 years to get my DL renewed.
For real, I never even have to wait. The OMV is just further evidence that our state government isn't functional.

Just tell them that you are a ‘Sovereign Citizen’ and they’ll understand and leave you alone.

It's been around and Louisiana has threatened it since 2014, so why not have it?

I’ve had mine for awhile but I know there’s been issues here in Kentucky with processing times, appointment times, waiting hours for walk-ins for it.
I’m more annoyed with having to use my Real ID plus documentation I already used for my Real ID for voting re-registration if the SAVE act passes.

I sell tinfoil hats on FB to the anti-vax tards of the OT.
Gov overreach is a thing, no matter where you are politically.
Illegals don't fly, and they give 0 fricks about having a DL

I’m guessing you missed the thread where dude sued the DMV?

Exactly.
One or the other, isn't needed.
It's all horseshite, but we all line up for it.

Also while we are complaining there isn't one available real id appointment available in NJ. A passport takes 6 months.
It is unacceptable management of our services. We are not any safer, any less convenience, or tax any less to receive poorly executed service
