I don't know who cuts your hair, but the girl that does mine needs Sunday off. I've only heard a small sample of what her life is like and that girl needs Jesus.

I hate this about all types of "service" places. Oil change places, barbers, banks, etc. They're only open M-F like 9-6 or occasionally on Saturdays. It's preposterous. Most Americans [that actually have money to spend] work during those hours on weekdays. They could increase their profits so much more if they were open, say, 12-9 instead on weekdays.

I expect it's done in an attempt to give those who work there the same type of "fair" schedule that normal white collar workers have, but I think that's just the bullet you have to bite when you're NOT one of those.

Good hairstylists typically charge more per hour than white collar positions.

Except those places offer services you need so they have the power in the relationship. Sure, you could cut your own hair and change your own oil, but if you're not already doing that, you probably won't start just because you have a minor inconvenience twice a month max.

Again, they're offering a service that people are going to consume regardless so I doubt they're losing much in terms of profit. Especially if all the salons, mechanics, etc in the area follow the same schedule.

If your avatar is you, you could probably cut your hair with a Bic lighter, and nobody would know the difference.

I'm more of a Tuesday or Wednesday guy. I go at 10 when they open and never wait. Too many people go on Friday and Saturdays

Salons and barbershops are closed on Sundays and Mondays. That is their weekend. Sunday is the day of rest. Not many people traditionally do a lot of errands on Sundays. Saturday is typically the busy day.

Pretty simple.
