The BLM movement is ridiculous, but god damn we need a complete overhaul in the police force.

based off your avatar I thought that would have been your fetish
ETA: She probably deserves more money than that. That is just out of control.

After pulling out Simm's tampon, and ignoring her repeated claims she wasn't hiding contraband, as well as multiple requests to be taken to the police station, Wilson continued with the search. "She decided at one point to run her fingers along Natalie's vaginal lips," according to the lawsuit. At one point, Wilson made a comment that "you're very hairy."
That's just fricked up.

Not sure what this has to with it but there has to be a better way to handle it than how it was handled.

The officer admits to the body cavity search. The woman had no warrants and there was no reason to do a PUBLIC body cavity search.

Remove police unions and if you don't want to get screwed by police stop breaking the law.
The police are there to protect the people who do obey the law.

This wasn't a search. It was sexual assault.

Remove police unions

if all of that is true and there is dash cam video of it...no fricking way should she accept the settlement. 205k, frick that. For some shite like that, they should be paying in the millions...and that officer should be stripped of her retirement 100%. With all this said, frick blm, frick the rioters, frick anyone claiming police are excessive at some massive level.

count cop should be brought up on sexual abuse charges. That is pretty over the top.

Doing away with qualified immunity would stop a lot of police abuses. Right now, the police can commit an unconstitutional act and still have no civil liability.
If police departments knew that the improper actions of bad officers could universally lead to liability, you would have a much better quality of police officer (and better quality training).
Real Life Example: Woman arrested and put in jail. She has serious mental health issues. She requests her medication. Her mother requests that she receive her medication. Jail personnel say "no." The arrested woman ends up stabbing both of her eyes out with a pencil. Suit result: Dismissed, qualified immunity.
Real Life Example: An unmarried couple has two children. Without any judicial proceeding, the police decide that the mother should have custody. So, the cops who up at the Dad's house. He's not home, but his gf is. She won't tell them where the kids are. So, they arrest her for "interference with child custody." They have a warrant. The only problem: The crime can only be committed by a parent and where there is a custody order. The warrant affidavit said there was no custody order and that the woman arrested was not the parent. Judge rules the arrest was unconstitutional, but no liability due to qualfied immunity.

While many women choose to shave it is still misogynistic to expect all women to be hairless. Beauty comes in all shapes, colors and textures.
