Their internet service is fricking horrible

I will say, when it works, it is pretty good. Just don't have a problem. It will take 4 techs 6 months to find and fix the problem, and only then after you figure it out for them.

AT&T is the least worst if you have DirecTV (free data streaming of TV while using the DirecTV app.) If not for that, I'd be tempted to try Verizon. I still might just because of how AT&T has screwed over DirecTV customers they acquired after the merger.

I've been with BellSouth => Cingular => AT&T since 2000 and each time they rebranded their service took a hit.

My first smartphone was the Evo on Sprint bank when they had the try 30 days for free policy. (Got it to watch football from my slingbox when driving 16 hours to Florida.) We tried T-mobile as well and their network sucks.

However, AT&T has better infrastructure here in south Louisiana - especially in the more rural areas. but... AT&T royally fricked us during the flood of 2016.

They may have better infrastructure because they also own the phone network in most parts of south Louisiana and know where Verizon and others puts their tower sites and knows they will need to add one.

Where AT&T shows its self unless this is changed is that they rely on batteries at some of their tower sites instead of generator power at their tower sites for backup power. I guess their logic is that if an outage event lasts longer than 48 to 72 hours they can deploy mobile generators to those sites. That way there are less issues with upkeep and maintenance on large stand by generators that need to refueled in the field and have large tanks. Verizon utilizes more stand by generators at their sites.

Verizon service is unmatched so if you ever move around further than your towns borders is worth just paying a little more.

I had a business phone on AT&T and was shocked that in current year you could drop that many calls.

I can only imagine being on Sprint or T-Mobile or one of the dozens of reseller type brands.

Verizon is expensive, but I almost never have a single issue with their network. And that’s after 10+ years of using them.

Just got off AT&T last February. The most dreadful cell phone situation hands down. T-Mobile much less expensive. Ten times better plans. When in Europe AT&T was an utter nightmare last year. Their plan alone almost ruined our trip the hoops you had to jump through to try and avoid massive additional charges. T-Mobile totally hassle free.

Me either.

I have about 60 devices on account today and I escaped from AT&T to Verizon about a decade ago.

It was hell with AT&T, it’s gravy (lowercase “g”!) with Verizon.

Similarly I have no complaints with North Korea either.
