I started out in 1948. I turned 72 last month. I'm with you on this one. Too much fun to quit now.
I do believe that the ultimate key to longevity is something we can't do anything about: Genetics.
After that, is something we all can do something about: Lifestyle. Be a gym rat.

58, but in my mind I'm about 40ish.

I think IonaTiger is pretty old.
I'm 68, born September 10, 1951. I still feel like a kid (except for my knees) and live by the credo, "You're only young once -- but you can be immature forever!"
And while I have coronary artery disease (very well under control); diabetes (with an A1C of 5.8, which is probably better than most on this board who are younger than I am); and have a bit of a suppressed immune system because I take Cosentyx, I have not missed a day in the office since this whole COVID mess started. I am looking forward to the courts reopening so I can get back to the practice of law.
I'm old in years, but young at heart. This place keeps me young because I laugh every day while reading this board. Laughter is good for the heart and soul (I may break into song - think the "piano" scene in the movie "Big"). I thank all of you for keeping me laughing and young.

Iona is a little less than two months older than me...we do have some posters in their 70's.
We were both in our mid-50's when we started posting here...

In reality, bantering with other posters around here probably makes the brain stop functioning.

Now, that's something I miss. I played bridge with the parents (Dad has passed away now, Mom is 88).
Good times. can't find folks to play bridge with now.

Here in The Villages, life has revolved around Golf, Bridge, and The town squares. To an extent, golf has survived . Along w/ everything else, bridge is shut down. Re-opening the town squares? I don't think they even have a clue how of to go about it.
(It's essentially a block party of several thousand with a dance band and multiple bars. WAY too many people wanting in a crowded area. With some of the more popular bands, there was major overflow in the past.)

Go Google "Curley Hallman" and report back on your findings, then try to explain how the Miles era aged you...

I feel older than I am a lot of the time, and sometimes a lot younger.

I am one of the longest posters (2004), but certainly not near oldest. I am 63, but know there are some over 80 on here...
