Truck parades give me a headache.

Truck floats on Mardi Gras day is my cue to go home or to the bar.

Nope. Try Comus.

I was talking about parades/parading krewes. I'm well aware of Comus.

You might want to ask her husband first.

Flags are flying at my aunt and sister's houses.

Depends on what you like, I ride in Endymion, have for awhile, so I am partial. However, there are plenty of great Krewes. If I did any other one, it would probably be Thoth.

d'Etat is my favorite since we catch it on Magazine between Jefferson & Napoleon...great neighborhood atmosphere and can walk 6 blocks to our spot.

I did have a hell of a lot of fun at Krewe du Vieux this year though.

It's all about preference and the best is decided by personal opinion. Rex is the oldest parading Krewe. I was never find of Zulu but each it's own.

Bacchus/Orpheus/Endymion are your super krewes, each having their own niche. Orpheus is your "alternative lifestyle" parade and happy go lucky. Bacchus was the original super krewe that pioneered celebrity grand marshals and elaborate, animated floats, but fail to modernize with the times as well as have a spending problem on things that aren't helping the parade progress. Endymion is by far the biggest and most extravagant parade in Mardi gras. Our floats are the biggest and most advanced technology out there. The extravangaza rivals any show out there with a fricking parade rolling through

The smaller krewes in New Orleans are pretty awesome as well. D'état, muses, and Tux and Thoth are pretty cool also.

So like I said, it's all about preference.
