Are you the VP of Cafe du Monde by chance? You seem incredibly triggered by this issue. Hell, you even started the thread by asking who’s side are we on.
You got me!!!!

I don’t know why some of you don’t understand this
Sure it does, acting like it doesn't matter at all is absurd. It isn't the only thing that matters, but you are fooling yourself acting like this.

So if it’s decided that they violated some ordinance or need a permit for this, will a governing body just say, “well you’ve been doing it this long so we are just going to let you keep going” ?

Dumbass.
Those looked nothing like Metairie/Kenner folks.

What part of this:

Do you not understand?
In your said case, the ruling would absolutely take into consideration custom/tradition usage time as a factor.

Seems like it. You’re way too invested in this story. This thread is page after page of you arguing. You’re taking it very personally.

I’m taking it just as personally as you are. So I guess that makes two of us.

You can laugh all you want, it doesn't make you any less wrong.

Someone explain why this guy has a title of VP and not assistant manager?

So an entire street should be undervalued because one bar wants to spray bubbles everywhere?
Sure, you’re there first, but if you can’t keep something ON your property then it ceases to be a “it’s my property” issue.
It’s the same (maybe worse) thing as light pollution.

So answer this then. What goes into consideration when determining a custom or usage and its legal standing?

Nice deflection, but no. You started this thread at 8:52 this morning. It’s now almost 2pm. You’ve been arguing for hours. Your posts make up the majority of a 9 pages long thread. Put down your phone, walk across the street and make peace with the bar owner.

Could this also apply.to an ordinance that was violated?
Desuetude, in legal terms, refers to the idea that laws can become unenforceable due to a long habit of non-enforcement or lapse of time, essentially becoming obsolete

LOL
And entire block being devalued because of one small bubble machine?

If the bar was running a prostitution ring for five year, is that ok since they were doing it for so long?
