There was one in Jackson I loved, Barry Clingan, but he got into trouble along the way. Really good preacher.

Father Vincent, St Joan of Arc, Laplace. Late 90's, early 2000's. Once said " we had a special collection for new carpet in the church. The carpet looked so nice, we needed a special collection for new kneelers. Now we need a special collection for a new organ. You may ask me, when will these special collections end? All I can say is, not in my lifetime!!!" He had that type of personality.

I remember him. I was young, but my mom was the architect for that community room or whatever that became the church.

Only on the OT can one get three downvotes for praising the qualities of a true man of God and the father of a good friend.

Tell me about it. 13 downvotes for merely asking the question.

Fr Kern who would become Msgr Kern later on . Always thought he was cool when I was a kid b/c he drove a Porsche. He didn't take a vow of poverty.
Also Fr Stapleton. Was from Ireland and looked just like 007 Timothy Dalton. We saw him once outside of a Timesaver drinking Jameson and smoking. Thought he was badass when we were 12 yrs old

Fr. Randy Toms at St. Paul's Anglican on Chimes. Interestingly enough, I believe he is related to golfer David Toms-1st cousin I think.
