I was there almost every Friday for free drinks around 2002-2004 and maybe a bit longer. For some of that time I lived on Jennifer Jean so I would hit it up fairly often.

I was there in 1979 80 and 81. What was it called then? I went to all of the bars but I don't remember the names.

before TB and the House it was called Cilly's. My room mate was a bartender as I drank for free during my time spent at LSU , 1986-88. Can't forget Fred's $1 screwdrivers while watching the sunset on the patio.

anyone remember Otis Day and the Knights playing at Alex Box , and U2 Thanksgiving night @ PMAC during these same aforementioned years ?

When I arrived in 2000, Tiger Bar was where all the white girls would go to hook up with black football players.

I went to the Tiger almost every week night in the early 1990's. I was friends with Pedro Suarez who was the LSU kicker at the time so I used to get free drinks. I remember a big bouncer named Zuke. We used to hang out at the Tiger early then head over to Sports Illustrated around midnight to check out the poon and the fights.

Otis Day was the first week of classes in fall of '86 - my freshman year. Calculus was kicking my arse and I didn't go.

U2 was in November the following year.

Zuke is a huge man. My buddies played pool with Brett Farve there before he got drafted. I had no clue who Brett was and didn't play because he was/is an arrogant a-hole.

Bad - a baseball player stripped nude and ran a few laps around the top of the bar.

Worst - C'Vello

Tiger Bar was epic in the spring of 2005; lines to the street, especially Thurs nights. Had some big times there that year and sporadically thereafter till grad in dec 2006

Didn't they give away free drinks every Friday night up until 8 pm as well?

Visiting friends in tiger plaza and hitting up tiger bar convinced me to transfer to lsu for fall 02. No regrets

Zuke that is a person I hadn't thought of in a long time., and your right he was gigantic in size.
We had Rugby after game parties there in the early '90's so I was there quite a bit for a while. At that time the baseball team was always there. Football players used to be some sort of guest bartenders from time to time.
Watched the '97 LSU/Vandy game there when Cecil broke his leg. Awful game.

Tiger Bar was where the Rugby Team hang out after scrums. A lot of naked players bathing in a plastic baby pool full of shite followed by running around the bar butt arse naked. Ted always had 3 kegs for them...and he allowed our dogs to hang out in the bar. My 1st dog I got when I went to LSU spent many nights in that bar. Great times.
