I watched the hell out of that channel. I was always a little nervous that charges were going to show up on my parent's cable bill though.

Local UHF station played it. Supposedly requests were taken .

I never bothered with that.

Also Slip N Slide stuff like Trick Daddy and Trina.

I looked it up and it started in Miami and became a cable channel around the US but not in every city.

Damn, makes me wonder if David Lucas' family owned the box.

I had a neighbor win a contest from The Box. Got a Snoop Dogg designed Cadillac, had hydraulics and an awesome sound system.

Absolutely nothing

It was on in New Orleans and just about every other decent-sized city

The first music video I ever saw was Get Your Roll On by Big Tymers and it was on The Box. When my parents saw me watching that I was grounded for 2 weeks.

The Box was the GOAT.

I remember there being multiple Box channels for different music genres. My roommates and I would get really high and watch Box Pulse, which was a weird alternative music channel.

A few songs I remember

Cassius 1999

Playboy Playgirl

Bad Girl

Superthruster

Put'em on the Glass" was the most requested song in my household!

This right here and real muthaphukin Gs by Eazy E.

Grew up in Chalmette and we didn’t have it on cable but my friend was able to somehow pick it up as a regular channel. Was awesome. Then moved to BR in 98 and always had it on.
