There is a building that looks like a house with a USA and POW flag, along with a tiny dock to put a skiff or small fishing boat in. Does anyone know who this belongs to? I've always been curious whenever I drive from BR to New Orleans.

That’s what you call a ‘camp’. Pretty sure there’s a club with 15+ guys in it.

I believe that is a camp….it would be fantastic to own it except for the highway noise.

I've wondered the same thing. Between the highway, train and airport approach it can't be very quiet and relaxing

There is house btw Baton Rouge and Lafayette that II always wonder about. On the south side of I-10, big arse pond with lights out to the pier. I always wonder how they scored that piece of property.

The one on the south side of 1-10 about halfway between kenner and Laplace, is owned by a railroad, likely Ill Central, or so I was told.

That’s the LaBranche hunting club camp. There are a bunch of members who also lease some of that marsh. I believe that building was originally a train station a long, long time ago.

That’s who owns all that land, basically the Monteleone family, but the land is divided and leased out to several hunting clubs.

Wait I thought that little house was rumored to be some kind of old man pedophile house from years ago?

That story is definitely on tigerdroppings somewhere.
