Starting to wonder if we work for the same place. Or is stupidity that rampant?

Yeah, I have a second idiot divorce lawyer who is disorganized and stupid. I just need a simple community property settlement and move on w/ my life. 3 yrs plus of my money tied up over attorney/judge idiocy.

I do majority of the work and he can't file fricking simple motions on time. Thousands deep. fricking lawyers! They all suck!

Side note: Judge Day is on some type of 6 month probation for ethical violation(s), yet still serves like nothing happened.

Public Defender's Office is a mess and because of Broom and her buddy heading the PD Office, they have a major shortage of attorneys. And simple petty crimes(dope possession shite) are leaving dudes & dudettes in jail 10x's longer than normal with zero rep and zero resolution(s) in sight. EBRP for you.

Dang, what happened? I kinda liked her with the little bit of interaction I had with that one case I had in EBR.

I’m up, cooking for an event today.
Phones at my office are forwarded on nights and weekends in case of emergencies (insurance claims).
Lady called my office at literally 5:58am to discuss auto insurance.
“I didn’t think anyone would answer”
“Yes mam. Phones are forwarded in case of emergencies”
“Well, now that I have you, yada yada yada”
8 min convo.

Finding the right people for upper middle management is tough.

I have been and am fortunate to have them.

My phone always stays on but I get about one or two off-hours calls, and they’re usually informative (or something major) rather than something to decide.

Rumor is she was throwing people in jail for contempt charges unnecessarily and the state board slapped her on the wrist, but she is on probation per rumor/story 6 months or something like that.

WBRZ has the story, but I refuse to pay for their crap. WAFB doesn't have anything on the story, at least I can't find it on their site.

Rampant. I do a bit of consulting work and the amount of companies that are scrapping by would absolutely amaze you, and usually its caused by someone in the top not being cognizant of what's really going on, or who truly knows what. Fake it till you make it at its finest.

I'll shorten this story as much as possible but something similar happened 18 months ago.

At my previous job my general manager had lots of management experience but no experience in doing quotes. He sent me a project at 4:30pm that needed to be turned into the customer by 8:00am the next morning. Our quotes team was not experienced enough to handle a project of this size so I knew I had to be the one to do. I also saw that the opportunity was sent to him a week prior and he sat on it until now. Since he had to experience in quotes he had no idea what he was looking at and didn't know how large of a project it was and how much time it would take.

I worked on it until 1:00am, slept for 3 hours, got up at 4:00am and drove to the office to button everything up and sent it to the customer. My boss walks in at 8:30am and asks if everything was handled and I told him yes. I also told him that if he ever did that again I would quit immediately. He just walked away and didn't really say much else to me the rest of the day.

6 weeks later I walked into his office and handed him my resignation letter and let him know that I have accepted a job at their biggest competitor.

I'm not arguing about what criminals deserve jail for.

But, per law, Public Defenders are afforded to them....but EBRP, mayor broome and her newly appointed head of PD dept suck arse. Public defenders leaving in droves. pay cuts, longer hours, no pay raises for more work, cutbacks of all kinds and PD dept is severely short-handed.

Yet, many hard core criminals get off easy w/ the quickness. Not cool
