So you met the new Shreveport mayor today
No the guy I met worked at Shaw before they sold out. I think the Shreveport mayor just has a JD from Harvard which is still very impressive

Talked to God on the golf course a couple times. Most of the time he goes by Morgan Freeman. I’ve become friends with a retired Judge from Kentucky. He’s written two books and has judged over several death row cases. He’s great friends with Chief Justice Roberts and gives his opinion on Supreme Court cases as a consultant.

Great choice Kells.
I’m glad I noticed this thread bc I love thinking about my grandfather. He was admirable, humble, intimidating, accurate, dependable, effective, productive, hardworking, realistic, manly man. Always respected and employed any type of hard working man at a time discrimination was legal. He was a great guy who I loved talking to every day. He dealt us some painful whippings and hugs.

Also a master welder who could build or repair anything.
They don’t make those type of men anymore.
Merry Christmas Kells!

Lee Iaccoca. When he was still at Ford. It was at a Ford gathering for dealers at the NADA. There was a greet line for the dealers coming thru the door. He knew every dealers name and would whisper the name to Henry Ford II "duec". I was amazed all he knew everyone's name. Latter that evening I had the opportunity to approached him and I introduced my self. So I asked him how was he able to do that. He said he had spies checking the name tags and giving him short lists every few minutes. It seemed like a lot of work to make the boss look good. But he know how to operate.
So i got about 2 minutes of chat with him before I was shooed away by the help. he was a sharp cookie.

Retired Maj General T.S. Jones USMC. I met General Jones on my transition out of the Marine Corps in 2016. As a Marine at Wounded Warrior Bn, I was chosen to take part in his program Semper Fi Oddesy in Pennsylvania. He has a compound where he has military and young men and women take part in many different things. Before going, I had little idea whom he was. Found out in my interview with him that he is from Central IL like myself and a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. He was surprised to learn that after my military service that I would be attending EIU. I will graduate after this next semester from Eastern. I learned a lot about myself though his program. I need to give him a call and let him know about my up coming graduation.
If anyone would like to know more, Google Semper Fi Oddesy and it will explain more. They also took us to United 93 site and it is one of the most sacred places that I have been in the United States. Thankful for what he does for service men and women transitioning out of the military.
