Moved to BR before his 7th grade year. Don't know where he was born (wiki says BR), but I think he was living in NC prior to moving here. High-tailed it out of BR as soon as he could. Hated BR and LSU.

After perusing all the pages of this thread thus far, I can tell that the posters here have limited historical knowledge.
Assuming, despite the thread title, that we are including people who lived in Baton Rouge, but not necessarily born there, the correct answer by far is former POTUS Zachary Taylor, who lived in the Baton Rouge area for many year and supervised the construction of the Pentagon Barracks during his long and illustrious military career.
Now, to add some levity back to the conversation after pointing out this major oversight, I would say Bobbie Brown is second. I mean, her work in Great White's "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" video was first rate.
Cheers to all, and Geaux Tigers.

Their historical ignorance is surpassed only by your lack of reading comprehension. The title very clearly says "born and raised in Baton Rouge."
President Taylor, of course, was born on a plantation in Virginia.

I didn't realize my thread was still going.
This thread was for people born and raised or at least spent a good part of their childhood here (not just college like Shaq and Pistol Pete).
President Taylor was never a kid here, so he doesn't count.
Basically, an adult that when asked where are they from, the answer is Baton Rouge.
I didn't realize OBJ wasn't from BR, so he's out.
Looks like Stormy maybe tops or Barry Seal.
John Mohammad is famous, but 90% of America doesn't know him by name.
