Kind of depends where you are. Cox,Cox and Filo in Lake Charles have one some big ones. They do good work.

There’s a guy based out of Metairie named Mark Tauzier. Dude is a beast and actually enjoys going to trial.

The billboard attorneys don't know how to handle stuff like that.

Yeah the real litigation guys would make the OT understand why it's a big % cut. If they billed hourly it would be expensive as shite.

Billboard lawyers? They're based on volume. There is a very valid argument their % cut is way too large but the LASC will never touch making contingency reasonableness anything other than a one size fits all scheme.

They're good people and are good lawyers. Definitely not afraid to take cases to trial.

The last time I was working a civil jury trial I was actually on the opposing side to CCF

You seem to know a lot about that case. What were the injuries, what happened? You said a lot of pretrial rulings led to the big judgment, can you explain? This stuff fascinates me.

You can say this about anyone with special skill sets. You think the 40 hour worker gets paid the same as the managers or the managers get paid the same as the boards or CEOs? Owners make more than players even though players do all the work. Doctors make more than nurses or CNAs. That’s fantasy land you live in. The plaintiffs wouldn’t get a recovery if they went against a company or insurance company by themselves either. Nobody forces anyone to sign a contract with a lawyer or realtor or anyone else for that matter.

This kind of talk, just like the purchasing of lottery tickets, is just the manifestation of the loss of hope.
