Also to add to the list, how about some love for Willie Roaf? Yes, born in Arkie but CFB and bulk of NFL career in Louisiana.

Yes I think Marcus Spears is very close as football goes. I say LF will be the one eventually though.

The most recognized football player across the country in the modern era is Terry Bradshaw. In basketball, it's Karl Malone. They're both from North Louisiana. That's funny. Hell, the best baseball player from LSU is Todd Walker. He, like Bradshaw, is from Shreveport.

Tennessee can't claim Peyton. He's not from there. It doesn't work that way.
Honestly for Louisiana all around it's Louis Armstrong, anyone who says otherwise is putting too much emphasis on sports.
For sports specifically though, I believe LF will be the one soon. Dude's a class act and an absolute beast. If he somehow is taken by the Saints it'd seal the deal.

If Peyton counts for TN, then I would have Shaq ahead of Malone.

Billy Cannon and Edwin Edwards. What does that tell you.

We prefer crooks over racists? Guess that's another reason to put us ahead of MS.
