Chinese buffet, beer, and waiting to read trashy in law stories on TD

Eta:

List of stories I'm looking for:

Somebody pooping themselves
Fights with the ol lady
Food ruined by pets
Am I the a-hole?
Shitty/disrespectful kids

Special thoughts to all who are alone, celebrating or not

Just treat it like a special day off. Do what you want and what you like.

I delivered gumbo today to my elderly neighbor who is alone. He is coming over tomorrow for Christmas Day. My kids are going to be all over playing with toys. I hope he likes his nails being painted.

A few years ago I was alone on Christmas Eve and I still think about how awesome it was. I went to so many parties that year and just taking the night off, enjoying some eggnog, and watching movies was pretty awesome.

Every holiday I always had the military sub-contractors from Havana & Jamaica over as they were away from families. As well as the active duty with no family. They became family.

I really wish there was a way in the civilian world that isn't awkward; to have people over that would be alone.

first Christmas without my Dad. My plans are nothing, spending it alone and want to be alone.

You may not be able to sit around, watching football and drinking a beer with him, but I can assure you that he will be there with you.

Remember and celebrate the good times and memories.

My girlfriend and I used to throw a "stray cat" party.

Anyone we knew who was alone on Christmas and Thanksgiving was invited over.

Everybody had a good time.

That was Christmas of 1994 and it is now Christmas 2022 and I still miss him. Fathers like mine were special people, very special. Love ya and miss ya dad.
