Its unreal how much rain we have got here as well. Expect it to be here around 2 to 5 pm like clockwork.

I cut my backyard Thursday morning.. Wasn't able to finish completely before the skies opened up with a deluge of rain.. About 5 minutes ago Metairie just had a 5 minute downpour, just enough to re-swamp the yard.

Can cut the front with riding and will use push mower near the house in the back. Otherwise, can't cut the rest of the backyard.

Surprisingly, we did ours yesterday. Was wet, but not muddy. Did my daughters also. Only one section was too wet and muddy.

I currently live in the mountainous north Louisiana. I can cut the grass immediately after it rains

Got just enough of a 5 min downpour yesterday to not cut grass today. Could punch a baby right now

I checked early this AM, I can't put my ego through it. Expecting another mean letter from the neighborhood committee. Like half the neighborhood got them a couple of weeks ago, but we had cut the grass between the time they mailed it and we got it... there was like one frickin day dry enough and it rained that night.
Back yard is a swamp though, I used a trimmer on some of it, but trimming wet grass is for the birds. I got enough room for my dog to comfortably shite.

Just cut. Legit 30 seconds after I picked up it started pouring. Will cut again if it ever dries up.

I love dealing with idiots who can't seem to figure out why grass may not be cut regularly when it rains regularly. Play their game. Soak it all down with Roundup. When it is brown, knock it down and apply a few coats of green Rustoleum. Problem solved.

Getting my daily dose presently.
The annoying thing is we haven't gotten a crazy amount of rain in terms of inches. It's the timing and consistency that is driving me bonkers. It's just enough rain to soak the ground each and every day. Once everything is nice and soaked, it shuts down for the day to avoid letting too much water run off in drainage. Gotta save that up for tomorrow just as things are starting to dry out.

Nope and bout to rain again. I miss rainless June.
Posted on 8/27/22 at 2:25 pm to Chad504boy
Ive only been able to cut my grass 2-3 times since late June.
Hasn’t been my proudest year with the yard, but my neighbors are in the same boat. Id rather tall grass than tear up the yard and have a mud pit when this rain eventually stops.

Wet times like these are great. Today has been sunny here and I probably could’ve cut but I still didn’t because I just did t feel like it. People will see my jungle yard and not judge because they know how wet it has been but they don’t know I’m just lazy.

Might need a flying mower. Drone tech is pretty advanced these days right?

Who has dry enough yard to pass a riding mower?
The Honda commercial walk behind floats compared to my riding mower.
I was able to cut my yard this morning with no long term sinkage scarring.
