I remember seeing the commercials as a kid and thinking to myself how trashy they were. Does anyone actually have one? How long has it lasted you? Do you regret your purchase? Thanks. I’ll hang up and listen.

I started this same thread a few weeks ago and apparently there are quite a few of trashy OT’rs with these Sunsetter Awnings

They still use the same commercial today.

What kind of snotty-arse-brat kid judges fricking awnings?

"Even as a child, he showed a strong tendency to make known that which lacks taste or refinement..."
For some reason I can envision Sunsetters across Florida retirement communities.

Are they still giving out the 200 dollar certificate if I call right now?

Honest questions... why do you care if someone locates a space on their property where an awning is a solution to their outdoor recreation needs, and a superior solution if it is retractable?
Perhaps they need it to be retractable because a permanent on would cause some issues unknown to you. Maybe they get so much snow that the weight is difficult to bear. Or they don't have an extra $8,000 laying around for a permanent structure.

They look like a giant pain in the arse that would be expensive as hell to fix and maintain.

saw the commercial this weekend. same commercial for 20 years and they still say "call right now for a $200 discount".

is that the one where the really hot young mom sits in Jody's lap under the Sun Setter and is taking her top off as the ad fades out?

It’s not trashy to keep your patio about 20 degrees cooler.
