Do you put on a special outfit before you ride?

Been in the saddle since age 18 and made 66 in November, so 48 years worth, plus a few hundred thousand miles to boot.

Got an 06 Kaw Nomad 1600 now and that is my second one. I lost my 2000 1500 Nomad when Katrina hit and it had 55K miles on it at the time.

That's awesome. Durango CO is probably the coolest place I've ridden to.

I've been to that part of Colorado 3 times over the years. I've ridden the Ozarks, Smoky Mountains, North Ga. mountains and the Rockies are by far the most fun for me.

I love the high altitude with huge sweepers where you can actually look at some scenery. In the Ozarks and Smoky Mountains, there are so many switchbacks that you really have to pay attention to the road instead of viewing the scenery. But the twisties are lots of fun too, except when the squids are out on their sport bikes acting like they are at the Isle of Man in a TT race.

I put almost 10k on my Vulcan S this year. Only 1 long trip. I ride almost everyday.

Great bike I like the adjustable foot pegs. Those mostly miles riding to work? My wife said I was a lot happier once I bought a bike and started riding to work. Something about 30 minutes of wind therapy to end the day just put me in a better place.

Haven't heard that terminology in years. Café racers were big back in the 70's and heading out to Vets to Pete Marony's was the thing bikers did once a week to meet up. There you'd see café racers, Jap bikes, HD's and all makes between.

Now, it's held weekly at The Pit Stop on Jefferson Hwy. on Wednesday night.

I was at a local watering hole about a year ago and went there on my big cruiser and a guy rides up on a sport bike. We got to talking about riding and I mentioned my longest day in the saddle was just over 1,000 miles and the guy looked at me like I was nuts. He said with his bike's riding position, he gets toasted in about an hour from being all humped over as his wrists and lower back start aching. Different type bikes, different purposes.

If I lived in a big city I'd buy a Cafe Racer, I really like the Triumph T100. 95% of my riding though is on highways and open roads so a big engined cruiser works just fine. I did upgrade to a Corbin seat and that made a world of difference.

I went with the Mustang seat on my bike and it is a lot more comfortable that the OEM one.

I also added highway pegs to the front crash bars and between them and my floorboards and the passenger floorboards, I can adjust my riding position in several ways to relieve the arse and back on those long 12-14 hour days in the saddle.

All chaps are buttless, otherwise they are just pants.

Eh, people do Iron Butt Rally on sportbikes. I’ve got a bun burner cert on a 600RR aka 1000 in 24 with the stock seat and race pegs. It’s not that bad. People do it all the time, I do rather ADV bikes now though. My long ride bike is a 1200GS with a Russell Day Long. My arms and legs get tired well before I get saddle sore. Got my 1500 in 24 on it.

Purchased my second Kawasaki Concours14 about 8 months ago...

Been riding about 35 years...

Prefer the long distance/scenic type of riding....

Have not had as much saddle time as I would like but there is always tomorrow..

Be safe..

We ride to the Smokies a few times a year and have been all over CO a few times but was unprepared for the absolute stunning beauty of the Northern Rockies, from the Tetons up it is spectacular.

I rode Beartooth Pass 8 times in one week and enjoyed every bit of it

Used to. A bike ride across Utah or Wyoming is incredible.
