Now I hear that they allowed the family of an infected doctor to come back to Ft. Worth without so much as isolation or isolation of the airplane full of passengers.

Ok so what if they aren't infected, what if it's on their clothes? Their luggage, etc.?

Were proper disinfection protocols followed on both africa's side and our's?

It's an African export so how bad could it be?

It could use an upgrade, but it's still one of the better places to stay in Natchez.

did you ever watch Dawn of the Planet of the Apes?

That's exactly what is going to happen.

So go get a chimpanzee and pamper that sob so your primate overlords look kindly upon you in the upcoming primate revolution.

Well, we haven't had a plague in a long time. We're way overdue for one.

Ebola kills people too fast to spread easily. It is like a fire that burns hot and fast, but quickly consumes all of its fuel and burns out. This has been one of the worst outbreaks in recent memory, but it will fizzle out in a few weeks like all of the rest.

I'm more concerned with chikungunya. While not fatal, it's spreading pretty fast in the carribbean with many cases in the southern US now.

Everyone should watch the Vice.com video on Ebola. It's eye opening.

These people are literally denying the existence of Ebola when it is killing hundreds. That's like saying, "nope, nobody has the Flu" when everyone at the office is sick in February

Transmission is by bodily fluids. This isn't a big deal. If it was airborne I would freak out

Completely disagree. Once symptoms start it doesn't take long, but they can remain dormant 20+ days after infection.

That means someone could have it and spread it to others for 3+ weeks without even knowing they have it.

Pretty scary.

Ebola is only contagious after symptoms begin showing in the infected. The family of this particular doctor had left before he showed any signs or symptoms, and CDC has them on a 21 day "Fever Watch" for any symptoms they may start showing. The incubation period is anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks, so they're monitoring it very closely.

I'm more concerned with scabies, saw a sign at the daycare this morning saying there was a confirmed case. Tha k fully not in my son's room but the teachers could potentially pass it between rooms I'd assume.

I'll agree with this. Being non-airborne is what stops this from spreading like a plague.

Lets hope it doesn't evolve.

mom was a nurse at a hospital and they had an outbreak of this around Christmas. As a x-mas gift every nurse was given a bottle of whatever they give you for it.

My mom said don't worry about getting infected I don't have it, well...

I got infected...that shite sucksssssssss.
