That’s about right, the company I worked for at the time was looking as buying a chip mill in Andrews and the guy showing it to us tooke us 15 minutes or so away to this place and was bragging the whole way about the bbq.
The pulled pork was excellent but the ribs had the consistency of a Goodyear 7 ply

Looks like onions, pickles and jalapenos on his brisket sandwich…never heard of that in my life.

I've seen the menu board at Burger Doodle, claiming a Brisket BBQ, regular and Whopper Jr. So, out of curiosity, I bought one.

It was pretty much a disappointment because they also loaded it down with cheese, tomato, bacon bits and some kind of sauce. From the start, I told them to cut the cheese and tomato and when it arrived, it wasn't horrible but it was no Bucc ee's or Jay's.

Curiosity is settled and I'll not revisit the offer.

No but thanks for the recommendation we need to try it. We live in the Galleria area Voss and San Felipe. Went to BBQ inn once as well the fried chicken was supposed to be the best. It was good but I still like Popeyes better lol. Pappas Bros Steakhouse still my favorite about one mile from our house.

Me. All up in small North Mississippi towns but mainly in the Delta. Black folks cooking.

Belzoni has one of the best. Anywhere along the blues trail you will see pits smoking. Pull in. I used to drink with a bunch of those guys when I would stop.

Stelly’s in Starkville was very good. They closed last year.

off Birnham Woods for now. Likely to buy in the next 2 years off of Imperial Promenade. you tried Rosemeyer yet? Any other recommendations for this area? We moved over here 9 months ago.

I was off Birnham Woods in Wright’s Landing for 6 months waiting for my house in Baton Rouge to sell. My realtor had a month to month rental there.

I have not tried it yet. We don’t get out too much this time of year because I’m usually gone hunting and we are creatures of habit.

Republic Grill(Good Food)
Cosmic Cowboy is same owner as Jaxx burgers so they have decent burgers
Woodson’s decent food and good place to watch games and drink a beer
Buffalo Run(Bills backer bar). Sometimes the wings are hit or miss there.

I did stop by Kirby’s BBQ in New Caney and it was pretty good. Small trailer type place with outside seating or to go only. Owner was a super nice guy.

There’s also Rusty Buckle BBQ in New Caney and I’ve been told by a lot of people that it’s pretty good. I tried once and thought it was really good then the second time it was a miss.

If any of y'all find yourselves here in Lexington for a game or Keeneland or some such, I highly recommened Red State BBQ. It's out on the county line, in front of an extremely seedy/shady motel where someone is probably doing meth and banging hookers while you're 30 yds away eating BBQ.

Its totally worth it.

When we fished Lake Fark, there was a hole in the wall BBQ place called E.B.’s..if the smokers where any closer to the building, they would’ve been inside. The walls were yellow covered with smoke. Place had some of the best brisket I’ve ever eaten.

Original Silver Moon was down Nicholson. Crappy shack, but great food.

Jones BBQ and foot massage

Jones BBQ and foot massage

You better get down here and get some of this shite

Saucy Q in mobile is my favorite

Honorable mention: browns fried chicken in brusly. Fried chicken, not BBQ, so not quite the same thing, but frick its good shite. If you ever go in there and see two white dudes hanging out with a dozen black dudes watching Sanford and Son, the better looking white dude is me.

THAT is Mumford's in Victoria Texas. Great bbq at reasonable prices. But you have to hunt for it.
