Pretty much the whole internet disagrees with you.

Fog lights aren't necessarily amber lights, nor are amber lights always fog lights. There are amber driving lights, amber spotlights, and, in France, there are amber headlights. What makes a fog light is the light pattern, regardless of the type of lamp or color of the light. A real fog light -- one that will do you good when you're trying to see in the fog -- has a wide beam pattern (70 degrees to 120 degrees) with a sharp, flat cutoff on top.

But yes, you're right. I, along with Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Honda Motors are all ignorant.
Yes, they are. As I said earlier they are in the business of selling cars. I know lights. I knew lights before any of those were even thinking about putting them on their trash.
Now go look up 6-71 blower on those websites. You won't find any. You know why? They aren't putting them on their cars yet ... and probably never will. I'll have to take my leave now because I have to finish putting a 6-71 blower on an engine. Be aware that I'm not installing a turbo. It's technically called a blower.

why has a thread about fog lights lasted two days and reached 6 pages?

Yall are, and I fricking explained it to you. Feel free to keep being a moron though. you're really showing us. I cannot believe I ever defended your dumbass.
ETA: I guess I should assume since Ford calls the engine in my car a coyote that my car is powered by an actual animal.
You may want to go tell the folks at O'Reilly's Auto Parts they're wrong as well...

Looks like the folks at Auto Zone are dumbasses as well....

Well, now I'm all confused. Doesn't sound similar to fog lights at all
Driving: Driving lights are designed to supplement your high beam headlights. KC Driving Lights produce a rectangular beam pattern that can reach further and wider than your headlights. These lights are available in higher wattages and create much more candlepower that stock headlights. Driving lights are very useful to help see things near the edges of the roadways and to increase the amount of light out in front of the vehicle. They are great for all around trail riding as well.
More websites:
Restrictions on Driving Lights
Driving lights should be wired to engage only when the high beams are in use. Since they are so powerful, they should never be employed around other drivers. The bright lights can be a distraction for them, taking their attention away from the road. Even a momentary distraction can cause an accident, ranging from a minor incident to a severe wreck involving injury to drivers and to passengers. Some areas enforce penalties for the inappropriate use of driving lights.

You realize you're still not helping your argument at all, right?

You're right. There's no helping you I see. I've shown you where everyone from the major auto makers to the major auto parts dealers all call them fog lights and yet you still insist that they're all wrong and you're somehow right. I give up because there's nothing left at this point I can think of to help you understand.

The only one not understanding anything is you. Truly shocking development there.

I guess you will also disagree with the Society of Automotive Engineers? You know, the people who actually define what something related to an automobile can or can't be?
Here is a copy of the latest spec
I can save you some time if you don't want to look at the whole thing.

6.4 Color
The color of the light from a front fog lamp shall be white to selective yellow within the limits specified in SAE J578.

So you and Redbone actually disagree with the SAE? Is that what I'm understanding?

I never said anything about the color, so no I don't disagree with them.

Every link I've found that compares driving lights to fog lights mentions that driving lights are meant to supplement high beams and not be used with low beams
I read this on KC and PIAA lights websites

Ok, then I guess I missed something. My apologies. Redbone clearly disagrees though.

I use the fog lights in my jeep because I can't see shite without them on. Serously, the headlights are fricking awful
