I really don't keep up with generational groupings, but I was born in '63.

So?

This. Although huge, Andre was pretty slow and I think many trained fighters could easily put him down.

You must not have seen Andre when he was young. He only weighed about 375, and was quick. That said, at his peak, he only about 6'11.5"

Anyone even thinking about talking shite to that guy in a bar, or anywhere, should be (should have been) committed to a psychiatric facility on the spot, just on presence alone.

Absolutely.

Dude is 60+ years old and can probably whip all our asses at the same time.

Shaq was the first person who came to my mind.

Dude was so powerful and athletic for his size.

Honestly, quite a few people, for two reasons:

A) He was always drunk
B) His size caused him immense pain where he could barely walk. You could definitely take major advantage of that if you were fighting Andre. Seriously, wrestlers actually had to take it easy on Andre.

As for anyone who could beat Andre in a drinking competition, no one. He’s the greatest drinker in world history. He once drank 121 beers in one day. He once answered a last call by ordering 40 vodka tonics for himself. He drank an entire case of wine in an hour before shooting the final scene of The Princess Bride. He’s the real life Bill Brasky.
