Their enemy to admissions are less qualified applicants being admitted ahead of them regardless of race or gender.

Yes you do.

I'm advocating for how I'd do it, not how everyone does it. If I think a 1200 is the minimum necessary to succeed at my school, I'll consider all 1200+ students.
Are the best doctors only those with the highest MCATs? There is more to it than that.

How can these millennial college students have their “safe space” if there are so many minorities?

I agree, but you and I both know this is not how it’s done.

I've said nothing of the sort.
Do you hire base on college GPA only? Or some certification test score only?

You kinda create the representation and culture by determining who is accepted and then use that to justify who you need to accept in order to create an accurate representation of the culture.
The logic is circular.

From what I know of the case, I hope the Asian students win v Harvard.
That doesn't necessarily mean the students getting in are unqualified.

No, you've danced around it, but your position is completely transparent.

I see that to some extent, but the counter arguments expressed in this thread would suggest that all companies should hire based on resume only. No need for interviews. No need to judge the fit. Just take the best resume. No place for subjectivity.

You didn't answer my question. Do you hire based on GPA, test scores, or resume alone?

Unqualified based on which qualifications? That’s the problem. Nobody is unqualified if you selectively set the qualifications to achieve a desired outcome.

They won’t get it.
It’s the reason they will whine when their 4.0 biology student doesn’t getin but the Spanish major does.

In my opinion? Unqualified based on a minimum intelligence required to succeed at the chosen institution.

We’ve already established that the minimum standards change depending on race and gender.

I'm in a small nuche industry. the 5 people I've hired this year I worked with at other companies, so I didnt even bother with an interview process or resume.
Your point is irrelevant though, private industry =/= public universities.
If this discussion is meant to be confined to private universities then that changes things, otherwise my tax dollars mean I get to protest discrimination in admissions.
