I'm dead serious. I'm like you and didn't think this could ever be a problem. They tried numerous "black" style shops here in Birmingham. None of them could do it right. You could forget about going to any of the "white" beauty shops. There's something different about the consistency or texture of her hair compared to the traditional Afro. The girl in Atlanta they see is booked months in advance and is by appointment only. I was scared to ask what it costs.

I will say this though; it's not easy being bi-racial. My nephew decided to GTFO and enrolled in Arizona State this year. He wanted a change of scenery and a more diverse campus in a major metro. My niece will end up doing the same.
However, dumping a kid because of this is stupid.

I only asked because there's a mixed kid on my nephew's soccer team. He had a crazy, very curly, red half-fro going on for years. One day it was shaved clean. I asked his Dad about it and he said, "His mother just got tired of dealing with that shite and had me shave it off yesterday."

Really, what do you expect from those lesbian count. They preach tolerance but are some of the most prejudiced, intolerant and generally miserable people I've had the displeasure to meet. (Meaning the typical fat, dyke, overbearing SJW type.)
