I agree to an extent, but also when you're an adult with a 40 hour a week job and for many a mundane and monotonous life, well any excuse to party is a good excuse to party

Then just have a party for the hell of it. You don't have to have an excuse. Just have a party.

Not surprising.

Do you have that not so fresh feeling as well?

I did work at one when I was in high school.

She, the grandmother, paid for it because she got back $3800 from her other, younger, sons dad because he hadn't been paying child support so she got his tax refund. His name was Bubba, the father of the younger son I mean.

Good lord. How long were you in there buying dip?

I'm not married, but "honey I'm going to get drunk at John's on Saturday while you stay home with the kids" probably doesn't fly in a lot of marriages. Honey we need to hire a babysitter for John and Janes gender reveal party probably demands a little more willingness to party

Darth, you can't just tell someone they're upset and call them a snowflake and have it be so. Do you see the irony in your post at all? Chastising the OP for laughing at trashy people could indicate that you are the little snowflake here, I was simply chastising you for approaching this thread like a butthurt SJW.

Asking a simple question is "chastising" someone now? And you kids wonder why everyone else calls you overly sensitive snowflakes.

Geeze, dude. Grow up and grow a pair and stop thinking anytime someone asks a question they're "chastising".

You're trying to pretend that you were asking a legitimate question?

There was a line since it was lunch and some folks needed their crispitos and corn dogs.

Plus, as you might have guessed, the cashier was more of a talker than a worker.

So if John and Jane were just having a party for the hell of having a party your wife would not let you and her go? I don't get that. Why would she not want to go just to see your friends or family?

"Parties" usually revolve around a certain occasion. Don't be so dense. Adults don't just gather on a regular basis to get drunk with their friends at someone's house. That's what bars are for

Wanting to know why he cares about this is not a legit question?

Yall are acting like I asked him if he's still beating his wife or something.

And one more question. If I'm asking him a question that has nothing to do with you, why do you care what that question is or whether or not it's "legitimate"? I'm honestly wondering and would love to know so I can better understand your thinking on this matter.

I guess this must be your experience but when we were younger we had a different experience. We'd have parties and get together for no better reason than to just catch up and have a good time.

So, if I understand you here, you consider a gender reveal party as an excuse to go get drunk?

I only ask because I though something like a gender reveal party was similar to a sort of baby shower where instead of just women going it was the whole family from grandma to the kids. So do they not get to go?

Good question. I guess whatever you get when you mix pink and blue. What's that, purple maybe?

ETA: was that a legit question from you or were you chastising him?

I can understand the pink blue thing. I've even seen people bet money on it.

Still, they're missing an even better angle by doing a cake.
