Here are a few other things.
- Wearing a welding cap when not at work.
- Using gofundme.com to ask people to donate for college fund.
- Motor in a tree (when I worked for a local gov agency when in college, use to get complaint about this shite more often than you would imagine).

I think the key is that normal things for some are mega status symbols for trashy folk. That doesn't mean the things themselves are trashy.
An F-250 isn't trashy, nor is Costa, nor is Yeti. But living paycheck to paycheck without a college fund for your kids, etc. so that you can have a gigantic white costa sticker on your sweet F-250 certainly is.
