Easy peasy, Summer all year. I've spent considerable time in extreme cold (three years in Northern Maine) and over a year in the middle east. I'll take extreme heat.

This weather will last maybe a few days or so, and then back to normal conditions in this state, most of which is highs in the 60’s and 70’s. I can deal with the occasional hard freeze every now and then, but it’s had to deal with long term 100 degree or thereabouts temperatures, 90 degrees at night, and with little rain for such a sustained period of time. The electricity bill is a drain, and the desire to get outside and sweat it out drains you as well.

I’m very thankful for the reprieve, even though I know full well we’re going to be back to sweating it out soon enough.

You mean really cold for 3 days or really hot for 3 months? I’ll take the cold snap.

Why not both? Living through seasons is great. Why are wussies always trying to put one single season on a pedestal?

I’ll take the winter. I can always stay warm but can’t hide from that brutal heat.

I’ve been trying to get to a point where living in places seasonally is an option. Looking at places a mild summer is more attractive. Overall, a brutal summer is more of a concern to me than a cold winter depending on how long winter lasts. I feel like it’s hot for 8-9 months in South Florida but only cold for 3-4 months in Colorado.

Does it have to be this windy all the time, or just these temperatures?

I would take these temps, with occasional wind.

Disagree. I'm sitting in a house with no electricity and them saying it will be another 12 hours before it's back on. I'm having a bit of trouble staying warm.

Depends on what you're doing. Lot's of stuff is miserable to do in the summer when you can only get so undressed. In these exact conditions, doing anything outside is miserable, but I you cut out the wind it would be fine.
