School system

Anyone starting their life out in the working world (early to mid 20's) that doesn't choose option #1 is part of the problem in this country.

The real problem is that there is an option #3 that a whole shite ton of people take these days.

3. Work a minimal job that pays little to nothing but you have all the free time you want. You have no health insurance, no retirement and you make little to no money so you have no savings. You live with your parents well into your 20's and even well into your 30's convincing yourself that you're "helping" them in their advanced age when in reality your draining their already overburdened finances. The things you need in life you expect the government to provide for you for the most part and are satisfied with less than the average working person because the benefits of not being saddles with a demanding career is an acceptable trade off.
Oh and you're behind on your $80,000 student loan debt for the liberal arts degree you have and can't use in a job and think it's unfair that you should be expected to pay all of that back so it really doesn't make sense to work full time only to have to give all your money to Fanny May.

Does your wife work? Do you have kids? Supporting a family on like 33k per year would be pretty difficult for most. You'd almost qualify for food stamps if you have 2 kids.

This isnt me personally, this is just for conversation. I actually know someone who thinks we are living in the last days and doesnt feel he needs to make a ton of money. Just wanted to see you guys opinion on it.
