I'm sure you will tell us about it.
Only if asked by another poster. But I am sure nobody wants to hear my full story (early college until now).
I might make it a topic, but that's a long shot even for me.

Tech is not even considered the better engineering/technical school. Not that LSU is thought of as being way ahead or anything, just that if the state has a "tech" school, its usually known for its engineering (Ga Tech, Cal tech, etc.). La Tech cant even pull that off. It's an alternative to LSU just like ULL. Not trying to knock it, but its not "more difficultl or less difficult". This coming from knowing and working with Tech engineering graduates.
As far as Tulane. Maybe pre-Katrina they were known to be better. But i do know they stripped the engineering program at that time and it hadn't recovered much last time I checked. I only know one engineer from Tulane (smart guy, but graduated before 2005 also).
Finally, I think you should quit posting for your own good and for everyone else's. You are either serious with these questions and post the same repetitive topics that make you try to validate the choices you've made. Or, you are trolling this board. Either way, its time to lay off the topic.

The sharpest tax law counselor has an undergrad from UL - M. The best tax credit CPA in the state holds two La Tech degrees. The best compliance / fraud officer for banking in the state has a LSU undergrad and grad degree. The best audit CPA that practices in this state holds an undergrad degree from aTm.
Well apparently you have it all figured out and seem to know every practicing professional in this state.

frick it, what have you gone thru and tell us one more time why you chose to go to an inferior school like Southern

I spoke with a PhD engineer once about schools and he personally proclaimed that Tulane is generally considered the best Engineering school in LA at least in his circles.
Tulane used to be considered one of the better Engineering schools until Cowen gutted the program after Katrina.

Have you ever started a thread that didn't involve comparing instate colleges?

IOW, LSU offers more bullshite degrees.

Competition in your class defines how hard a school is, the material should be the same. The difference between making an A, or passing with a C can be hugely different across institutions. I doubt any school in LA holds a candle to LSU for this reason (math+science+engineering).
I had three students in my class make 4.0s in physics and ALL get NSF scholarships (LSU was the only school in the country with three that year) and none of them were the smartest person in the class. That dude got a physics/EE double and went to Cornell for EE, works at IBM in Burlington now. The other three, I think one went to med school, IDK.
I'd made a 46/100 on a test and go talk to the teacher...he'd say it's his job not to let anyone make a 100, and there were 4 A's. Tough shite.
It's a numbers game. With 30k undergrads you're bound to end up with a handful of really, really smart folk. My graduating class was 13 people in physics at LSU, but it would have been 30+ had the top of the class not slaughtered the shite out of everyone. I'm sure Chemistry and the other basic sciences get that from do-gooder going-to-be doctor types.

I've never understood why Tech is considered to have a better engineering school than LSU. When I've ever seen engineering school rankings LSU is ahead of Tech every time
I wonder who graduated from one and then somehow made themselves ignorant enough to take same subject at other in order to compare??

your friend must be high. Tulane all but cut their engineering school. If I'm not mistaken, the only engineering undergrad they offer is biomedical. LSU literally shiets on Tulane in that area.

I've always felt that Universities, who use the quarter system, are inherently easier.

La Tech is definitely better than LSU in my field

Unless you're a pilot or some other obscure thing, I doubt it.

Tulane paired with other universities after Katrina to offer dual degrees. I know many Tulane grads with Purdue Engineering degrees as well, I say know...I mean I walked by their cube at NASA all the time.
