Oh no. TD doesn't like me. Better kill myself. But back to the insults that have nothing to do with anything from you. Typical.

when you sign in they will likely tell you it's too late in the day. Which maybe restaurants should do.

So, just because place A let's it slide it's perfectly acceptable to push the envelope and not give them the same couteousy you do place B?

It's not the same at all. But keep clinging to that comparison.

It obviously all depends on the employee.

No way I'd fire an otherwise good reliable employee if this was a first lapse in judgement on what wasn't really even that rude of a note.

A shaky employee though, bye Felicia!

Shall I quote the several insults you hurled my way prior to me calling you a dumb frick?

Someone going through life with a "SERVE ME!!!" attitude is unattractive. Horridly. And I know you're being facetious here because I know without a doubt you're not that person.

That person comes into a restaurant and says, "Each time my drink reaches below half, you're docked a dollar" to the waitress. That person is not you. I know that because I'd hate that person, and I don't hate you No one is disagreeing about late orderers being served. They should if that is the company policy. All we are asking is for the people on other side to acknowledge that it is not the most considerate thing in the world to call a place 5 minutes before they are closed and request a serve that takes 30-50 minutes of their time.

Sure, if they weren't accompanied by actual discussion. Have fun with that.

Is that what I have? I've already made my stance on when I will go to a sitdown place pretty clear, and know you read it.

Dominos is not a sitdown place, and that's the end of this. If someone orders a pizza at 10:55 when thy close at 11, shut up and make the damn pizza.

I was about to go off on you before I finished reading it

It has nothing to do with his view of places, it has everything to do with his superiority complex. Shitty little food workers have to go above and beyond in his estimation.

I don't want someone coming in 10 minutes before I close to do something that's going to take 30 minutes or longer to complete, so I extend that same courtesy to workers at other places. If I'm too late at a restaurant, I'm not going to get mad at them because I decided to try to get food from them last minute.

So you also think that if you go to a bank before the loan officer leaves he/she has to sit down and go over a new loan even if the meeting extends 30-45 minutes or more after the bank closes without an appointment. You got there before they locked the doors right?

I most certainly have done exactly this. Local bank and that place will get my business if I ever move back to the area. Helped me with a smile on their face and got my home loan. Especially with bankers hours, I bet it happens a lot. I actually live several hundred miles from the closest branch and I still have a checking account with them.

Another example is buying a car. I've twice stopped by dealerships after work just to take a look. Was interested in buying but had no need to buy that night. But they wanted the sale and they stayed until 8 p.m., maybe later to help me out. I would buy at both of those dealerships again. If anyone asked me to leave in the middle of the deal because it was getting too late, they would have been within their right to do so, but I probably would have felt uncomfortable about the whole situation. Like my business was putting them out. I much prefer the other feeling and would continue to shop at places that made me feel that way.

I'll ask one last time, are you serious?

They aren't the same because one is a delivery food place and the other is a professional setting. Talking about a loan is precisely zero like ordering a pizza that takes 8 minutes from order to in the box.

yes, I'm bet even you think your comparison is silly and you'd never make it anywhere the than an anonymous message board.

No one is saying they shouldn't have. They just ask that you realize that you are in fact being entitled if you have no qualms about doing it on a regular basis.

Who said anything about a regular basis. And expecting a business to function during its posted hours is entitled now?

WHERE IS THIS HAPPENING?

seems like they were being a pre-emptive a-hole and said "don't order 5 minutes until closing again"

DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO

this is a slam dunk that the customer is right and the employee is COMPLETELY WRONG

Not saying it doesn't happen. I would imagine though that you were courteous about it and not "I got here during operating hours, do your damn job" to quote another poster. If you make it a regular practice to keep a business open for the sole purpose of servicing you then you have entitlement issues.
