Congrats on not addressing my post to you at all. You sound entitled. If someone decides to try to close early and it bites them in the arse, it's their own fault.

Same with the Dominoes workers, you're not off the clock until you're off the clock.

They delivered the pizza...

Seems like the genesis of this entire issue is the note that was left. Ok sure, that was probably over the line. But, they still received service. On top of that, the nurse's friend responds by potentially hurting their business and then demanding not only an apology, but a bunch of free shite as well.

How could anyone be on the nurse's side?

Because none of this happens without that stupid note. Pretty simple.

Wow, 14 pages on this. I used to work in restaurants and I understand being irritated when someone walks in five minutes before you close, but that's your job. You definitely don't gripe to the customer about it. I don't do it personally because I've been there but not everyone has.

As far as this particular case, it's a Domino's Pizza. They don't even have dine-in. For what other purpose would they list their business hours as until 10 unless they were taking orders until 10?

So if it happened to you, would you post about it on social media just like the nurse did? Or simply just call the manager?

I would probably do neither but that is beside the point. We've already established both the nurse and the pizza employee are dicks

you have reading comprehension issues.

i dont think ANYONE on here agrees with the 'give me free pizza because you hurt my feelings' internet post.

what everyone* is saying is that your posted hours are the times in which you accept orders for food, period.

(*well at least everyone who isn't a self-serving service-industry cry-baby who want to leave right at closing to go to applebees across the street and drink)

Fine, so we can acknowledge that the note was in poor taste and likely shouldn't have been written. That's cool. But that's not the end of the story. The story ends with team nurse blasting it over the internet and demanding apologies and free pizza.

Taking the entire situation into account, it's almost hard ot believe anyone would completely side with team nurse.

Same here.

I don't know what the "right" side is, but I'm not going into or ordering from a place right before they close.

I don't think anyone thinks what the nurse did was appropriate. But to "be on her side" is a little different.

In regards to this, you think as long as you receive the service, there's not issue with the way you are treated? It's obviously a stretch to make it seem like she cried herself to sleep over the note, and that's why people are still critical of the nurse. But it is wrong and I'd be pissed if I was the manager of the Domino's

I think the lady who ordered the pizza deserves one free pizza or reimbursement for her previous purchase but that's about it. The rest of her outburst is attention whoring

Here were your last two posts to me you dumb frick:

quote:

Well too bad. That's a risk you take breaking things down early. Trying to get out early doesn't make someone that comes in before posted closing inconsiderate. Are you this big of an entitled baby in real life, or just on here?

Now please explain where the frick you explained how I am entitled for thinking it is considerate to sit down in a restaurant minutes before they close?

Right there. When you said
quote:

You do realize that restaurants start doing a lot of this stuff way prior to closing especially on a slow night right?

It make you sound entitled. It does this because it implies that you think anyone should give a shite that restaurant employees tried to close shop early.

fricking right.

again, i worked at tcby when i was at lsu and you haven't seen entitled until you have a sunday-night line from hell of ice-cream wanting sorority girls fresh back from their weekend at home with mummy and dahdah using coupons and copping a 'holier than the tcby lsu student' attitude while stuffing their soon-to-be-fat little faces with gigantic yogurt treats but you know what? i kept a smile on my face and worked the line and when we finally closed we had a SHITSHOW to clean up in the front and shite piled everywhere in the back.

so fricking what?

we cranked the tunes on and happy we had a job, cleaned shite up and went home at 12:30 at night.

i never once thought about closing the place 30 minutes early so i wouldn't have to stay..i mean i was getting paid until i punched out.

why do you hate money?

Smart workers (I'm speaking from the kitchen side) leave the grill, fryer, and oven on until after closing. There's plenty of other things that can be done without being screwed up by a late table. Late customers aren't that big of an inconvenience. Again, I'm coming from the kitchen side. Late drinkers can screw over a server.
