Good lord you are fricking stupid.

when all you do is post these same quote over and over it makes you look too stupid to properly debate the point.

I love when instead of trying to counter someone just goes to insults. Really lets you know when they have absolutely nothing of value to add.

Have you ever seen or heard of the customers being ushered out the second the clock hits closing time?
In a restaurant? No. This exactly my point. They technically could, and there isn't jack you could do about it due to the hours being posted. But they don't do it out of kindness for their customers.
This is why I think we, as customers, need to to our part and be considerate along with them doing it for us. Restaurants already bend over backwards for customers for the most part. They regularly stay open past their hours of operation for those who come in last minute, they are quick to give people free shite at the drop of a hat, they fire their employees for simply defending themselves to horrid customers, etc. If we all just exercised a little bit of consideration, we would be much happier.

I just don't think that the nurse/nurses thought hey dominos is about to close lets jam up their employees and order some pizza
Which is exactly why a note was written to them. To make them aware. FWIW, I do not condone the decision to write the note. But come on. Did it do any real damage to her?

They do it to avoid bad PR. It isn't out of kindness

nah, thats not why they do it.
restaurant A kicks everyone out at 10pm
restaurant B is cool and makes everyone feel equal, even the ones who come in 10 minutes until closing
B gets better tips
B gets better yelps
B gets better word-of-mouth
A closes within the year

So when does the courtesy end?
Wouldn't it be a never ending cycle?

I'm glad you don't condone it. Any restaurant I've worked at would have fired me on the spot for pulling a stunt like that, and deservedly so.

EH. Someone just posted about Gatti's refusing his order 30 minutes before they close. They aren't going out of business (for that reason, anyway) over it.
Personally, I think more restaurants should stand up to customers in a polite way and show they're not going to bend to them. The customer is not always right. Homeboy who ate 1/2 of his plate of catfish doesn't deserve a refund because he decided after eating half that he didn't like it. I can think of a few times my old boss did that, and I was so proud. Felt like he had our back.

To counter, does ordering food during the hours of operation do any damage do any damage? Answer no, therefore the note was unnecessary and is a perfect example of some of the entitled attitudes that plague the service industry. The fact that this happened with a delivery place and not even a sit down restaurant is just icing in the cake. If I owned that Dominos, that worker would be fired, and I really don't see how you could say it isn't justified.

That's absolutely fine as long as that's the official policy.

Knowing quite a few nurses I wonder how many times they have done this prior to the note? I know several who when they work with X, Y, and Z on a shift have a fairly set dining practice. I (as I've stated multiple times) am not condoning the actions of the person who wrote the note. Just wondering why so many are adamant about the practice of last minute walkins or orders being a socially acceptable practice.

What's really funny is that you actually think you're winning here.

Nah, if you were an otherwise good employee that wouldn't deserve firing. At least not before the FB shitstorm.
Now if they were looking for a reason to get rid of you... you just gave them one.

At places like Dominos, it should be 100% acceptable. Are you being serious right now?
