I would say that weed is relatively tame compared to driving drunk. However, taking a hallucinogen is not exactly a smart thing to drive on.

Dude's babysitter failed him. You always need at least 1 sober individual when about to trip. Would not recommend walking down the street, much less driving, if on shrooms or acid

He’s 17, so the financial responsibility (I.e., the inevitable law suit) will come back in his parents, right?

I would never grow tired of beating my kids arse if they did something like this.

17 is the age of majority for for criminal acts. Legislature recently changed the law to 18 but it hasn't gone into effect yet so he'll be charged as an adult.

Kid was probably on his parents insurance. Also, the pregnant lady will be entitled to punitive damages (intoxication one of the few exception under Louisiana law) and insurance does not cover these damages. So he screwed.

Reading on NOLA that victim may have a miscarriage. Vehicular manslaughter?

I just don’t understand this type of behavior on acid. Whatever happened to sitting in the backyard, listening to Bob Weir, and watching the trees do the Macarena
