I was in Baton Rouge this past weekend for the first time in four or five years. I was fortunate enough to pass the fabled El Cid. Anyway, there are two stereotypes about Baton Rouge from the OT that I found do ring true:
1.) fricking Gordon McKernan's face is everywhere
2.) There are scam artist bums everywhere. There were four along Bluebonnet between Burbank and Swaggert's compound. All had a "limp." One was a female standing by a "now hiring" sign for a maid company. I should have pointed it out to her.
Sorry folks if you like BR, but I'm just glad I don't live there anymore.
