up and downvoting is pointless on this site. all it does is create groupthink.
if there were a running tally that got attached to peoples names it would make more sense...or at least the ability to see who up/downvoted

I rarely pay attention to up/down votes.. Well other than looking to see how many up/down votes a thread has because I think its funny when someone will start a somewhat serious thread and everyone downvotes it.. 
Sometimes in the lunch thread I will up or down vote a post, but it rarely has anything to do with what someone post.. Other than that I don't put this much thought into it.
