I had a girlfriend who was on a transatlantic flight that had to land there on an emergency basis. Her dog was in a crate in the hold. Apparently Iceland enforced a complete ban on dogs until pretty recently. Right before Icelandic customs evacuated the plane, they shot "Chancellor" dead right on the tarmac.
