This.

Although, I'm still glad he did what he did and won those tours. Just from an American pride standpoint. They can strip his titles all they want but they can never take away those 7 awesome years of watching the Americans go over there and kick some euro arse. Plus the story is still unbelievable. Doping or not, it is beyond comprehension how someone could be on death's doorstep and then come back to complete the toughest sporting event in the world, much less win the thing 7 times. Lance deserves all the shite he's gotten these past couple years for how he treated people and how big of a dick he was, but I still remember those years fondly.

I never cared enough about bike riding to be either excited by or disappointed in Lance Armstrong.

Athlete: None recently but Brett Favre really aggravated me with back and forth retirement bullshite then come to find out he's also a perv that likes to send unsolicited dick pics to chicks. I was a huge Favre fan as a kid. Had a bunch of his cards and a jersey.

Celebrity: Probably Bill Cosby. Hard to phathom a guy who's show I watched as a kid and who I believed was one of the genuinely good people in show business is probably a monster.

Hated seeing Eric Reid get mixed up with Kaepernick's anthem shenanigans.

Ironic you bring him up today. Yesterday the former PSU President & ADs got sentenced for their gross dereliction of duty in regard to Sandusky. Joe Pa was referenced as equally guilty by the judge but was unfortunately unavailable for punishment.

NY Times Link

Those former administrators are POS and the sentencing judge all but said it.

I may be missing some facts but didn't Joe PA report the accusations? It's not like he could do much more than that?

Not really. I'm a huge fan of his but I've never been into the idol worship thing. I have a background in public relations, so I saw right through the "wholesome" package that Nike has presented for 20 years. It sucked that he cheated on his wife, but millions of other men have done it too, they just didn't have to live it out in the media spotlight.
The DUI thing has been overblown. A lot of dying golf media companies trying to get some much needed views while simultaneously taking shots at the guy that made them what they were.
So, no, not really disappointed

Eddie Van Halen

It turns out HE is the reason one of the seminal rock bands of all time has been pretty irrelevant for almost 30 years.

Joe Pa. Was a PSU fan growing up. Always respected him. Still tried to give him the benefit of the doubt when all the stuff came out. But my bias was eventually overcome by facts.

damn truth...that was a legendary program and a legendary coach...really saddens me to see what was really going on there. I see that they are still sentencing people to jail time over that...

I think he may have mentioned it to someone. But he also knew that someone didn't do anything about it allowing the abuse to continue. Which makes him guilty.
