I'm on days right now FLBoo. Be back on nights Wednesday and Thursday. Then off to The Grand Island.

Only reason they are considering moving is because they want to be close to the grandkids. They would stay in Kingwood if so.

The rest of the family should join them in Kingwood. I mean, look at all the crappy options put forth on these pages. Ugh.

Yes you too can pay for an over-priced piece of land that is steadily eroding and watch as your house falls and sinks into the canal. Just go to Kevin's restaurant and look across the canal as your eating and look for yourself. Great food though.

Overpriced you say? Supply and demand determine price, sounds like the demand is greater than where you live.

The condo association knew the land was eroding due to a failed bulkhead and failed to take corrective measures before the damage got worse. That is not a common occurrence.

I've always liked Natchez, fun little town. But it's a solid hour and a half from BR

If you want an actual city and not just a suburb of BR, the answer is Lafayette or the Northshore. End of discussion

It's an easy drive though, four lane all the way and not much traffic. And a lot of LSU fans live there.

I have lived in south Lafayette, south BR, and Mandeville. Unless you are making the drive at 3am, South Lafayette ain't an hour away from BR (in the traffic). South Lafayette traffic is a mess too. Mandeville traffic is called waiting your turn, great local restaurants and across the lake from a culinary Mecca. 50 min to BR city limits, like another poster said. I did the drive 2x in the last week.
